For example: 'We Have An Anchor' is a re-working of anthemic hymn 'Will Your Anchor Hold', where the original chorus line remains, but with an added fresh melody and words to the verses.
'O The Depth And The Height' was inspired by Romans 11:33 and expresses how Jesus is the pearl of great price, our greatest treasure in this life and beyond. And the beautiful 'Be Merciful' was written as a paraphrase of Psalm 67 by early 19th Century English hymn writer Josiah Conder, who played a significant political role in the early stages of the Abolition of Slavery around the world. This hymn is a wonderful prayer for God to be made known to the nations.
This is an excellent album for personal devotions but also, a great resource for worship teams and choirs. There is also a songbook for the album with piano-vocal scores and song notes.
