The twin themes of Advent give to this period of the Church's year a potent blend of expectation and rejoicing.
The six sketched for Christian drama groups reflect aspects of each of these attitudes, from Mary and Joseph's pre-natal problems in 'Marriage Guidance' and the birth of Jesus in 'The Breakfast Surprise'; through John the Baptist's preparation for Christ's ministry in 'Clearing The Way' and the childhood, crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus in 'Reunion'; to his second coming in 'Siting Tenants' and 'The King's Return'.
They can be played Sunday by Sunday from Advent to Epiphany, used as occasional productions with an appropriate sermon or talk, or run in their entirety as part of a special Advent evening.
